CIH Conference 2008
The Green Paper has handed housing providers a clear challenge – backed by £8bn from Gordon Brown’s first spending review. So it’s now up to us to deliver 3 million more homes – ‘greener’, more efficiently – and in sustainable and cohesive communities.
Germaine Greer speaking at last year’s conference
It won’t be easy – land and building costs are increasing, land supply with appropriate planning permission isn’t always available and, in some parts of the sector, we face a shortage of experienced staff.
We must also maintain our existing homes – increasingly difficult with the focus on growth – and we have to provide complex support packages to an aging population.
In the face of all these it’s never been more important to attend CIH 2008 – to learn, share, network and re-energise yourself and your organisation.
The Conference provides delegates with a first class opportunity to listen to high profile speakers addressing key issues in the housing and regeneration sector.
