Housing is the sector's must-attend event

Unafraid to challenge the industry and ask difficult questions, the fringe hosts creative and fun sessions with strictly no powerpoint, jargon or cliché.

Housing 2019’s theme was an alternative street party! Attendees celebrated everything that makes a great and inclusive community. There were colourful bunting, trestle tables, street games, cakes, live music, and even a drag queen karaoke!

Some of the sector’s most pressing issues discussed at Fringe 2019 included:

  • How do you break down tenant stigma and challenge stereotypes?
  • Tackling homelessness: Is Housing First the way forward?
  • Tower block fire safety and tenant involvement
  • How do you build a diverse and inclusive workforce?
  • Supporting tenants and employees with mental health issues
  • The Universal Credit crisis: What needs to change?
  • Inspirational leadership and professionalism
  • How can we work with men and boys to end domestic abuse?
  • Protecting vulnerable tenants from cuckooing and county lines
  • Ending the horrific practice of sex for rent
