Economic abuse is an aspect of ‘coercive control’ – a pattern of controlling, threatening and degrading behaviour that restricts a victims’ freedom. It is important for housing professionals to understand the dynamics of economic abuse as they have a key role in identifying and supporting victims. An expert panel will provide best practice advice and guidance.
