Climate change and sustainability

The climate emergency is one that affects us all. As event organisers we are focused on doing all we can to ensure our portfolio is sustainable. We are not totally there yet, but we are working hard. Some things are out of our direct control, but we are working closely with our supply chain for Housing to make the event as sustainable as possible and would encourage all attendees to support this approach, where possible, by:

• Using the recycling bins that are available around the venue
• Bringing a refillable water bottle with you - filtered water stations are available throughout the venue
• Bringing a refillable coffee cup with you – this can be filled up at the retail catering points when purchasing a drink 
• Considering all transport options – to reduce the carbon footprint of your journey – local transport – car share, tram, bus, walk, cycle, skateboard! 

We have:- 

• Reduced all print material and switched to digital signage (an event app replaces the main event guide this year) 
• Reused materials where possible including reusing our stage sets from previous shows - find out more here

• Encouraged exhibitors to not bring any single-use plastic giveaways 
• Sourced local food for all catering, where it has been possible to do so
• Supplied walking maps and a link to the free bus routes to all attendees which can be found here
