Thought leader interview with Yogeta Partridge

What will be the biggest issue you hope to hear more on at Housing 2022?

Is the sector thinking strategically enough about its portfolios and the asset quality today, and how it will look in 10, 15 or 20 years’ time? Are the boards, as custodians of these real estate portfolios, asking probing enough questions about the financial resilience and real estate strategic thinking of the business to deliver good quality homes to residents?

What will you be speaking about in your session?

RESAM Consulting Limited are strategic consultants who provide advice and design solutions to maximise social and economic value from your portfolio, in line with your corporate strategy. We have partnered with Social Housing Magazine for the Housing 2022 survey, asking for views from senior leaders in the housing sector on topics such as future funding partnerships, financial impact of levelling up, decarbonisation and remote working on your business. The results of the sector-wide research will demonstrate the views of housing stakeholders and will be critical in understanding the sector’s priorities, challenges and opportunities for the coming year and beyond.

Tell us a question for the Secretary of State

How is the government going to release land to support and solve the housing shortage?

What are you most looking forward to?

Quite a few things, including sharing the research piece with the audience of Housing 2022, the depth and breadth of the housing sector topics over the course of the three days, and of course, seeing familiar faces of friends and colleagues and meeting new ones.

Name us the housing speaker of your dreams and why?

Not an easy one as there are a few, but I would say Octavia Hill. Her priorities of home and place are still very much at the forefront of the minds of the housing sector. I am intrigued to hear her thoughts and reflections from when she first took the responsibility to become a landlord.

Why is it vital the whole sector has a place to meet each year?

Collaboration – especially since COVID. Irrespective of where an organisation is geographically, the mutual goal to build more homes and improve existing homes is the same. A forum to network with other organisations and have some frank and honest conversations, that inspire and motivate, can only be a good thing.
