It’s a little-known fact that the term anti-social behaviour was first coined at a CIH conference.

A group of local authorities came together 25 years ago to discuss the challenges they were facing on their estates and form what eventually became the ASB and community safety organisation Resolve.

In this session, we’ll explore the modern challenges of ASB and how lockdown has catapulted the issue up the agenda for housing providers, local authorities, the police and government.

The session will cover:

  • The impact of lockdown on ASB in communities and its increased importance as an issue facing tenants
  • How housing associations are adapting and professionalising their response to ASB
  • Gang culture and how to engage with parts of the community that are disconnected
