The Hackitt Review shone a light on the need for building owners and their contractors to know what products and materials are in the buildings they develop. BIM has the potential to do this and, in this session, two leading housing associations will share how they are collaborating with industry to ensure that BIM delivers Hackitt’s ’golden thread’.

Find out:

  • How can BIM help achieve Hackitt’s ‘golden thread’ of transparency and accountability?
  • How do we overcome the challenges of information silos between stakeholders resulting in inefficient and fragmented communication?
  • How can digital records mitigate the risk of potentially dangerous decisions being made or unsuitable components being used?
  • How can we share data on building safety with tenants accurately and in a way that is easily understood?
